We build ourselves from the places we inhabit, from the stories those places tell us, and how the past is told
to us in order to exist in the future. This pictorial project, INTERMedio, was born from the desire of
exploring immigration as a way of reflecting on the social space as a cultural entity. The project examines
the relationships and relativities between Mexico and the United States by portraying similar places in each
country—spaces where I feel a personal connection, rooted in my own history. It is both a celebration of
difference and a declaration of migratory resilience.
